For 'De Derde Helft' (The Third Half) I gained access to the world of football hooliganism. Once a feared and notorious group, the Antwerp X-Side gradually changed when a younger generation entered the scene at around 1986.
They would refer to themselves as 'casuals' because they stopped wearing team colors or jerseys, making it easier for them to blend in with the crowd. After a while they would still find a subtle way to distinguish themselves, by wearing certain brands like Fred Perry, Stone Island. Now, more than 30 years later they've rebranded and instead of being incognito they take full public pride again by wearing custom hoodies, jackets and shirts with their 'firm' prominently displayed.

This is the Antwerp Casual Crew.
